U.S. Coast Guard Station Tybee Island
Wiley|Wilson was the Designer of Record (DOR) for this design/build project with the Whiting-Turner Company. The project consisted of constructing new facilities and waterfront improvements to the U.S. Coast Guard Station at Tybee Island, Georgia. The project consolidates services and capabilities from existing deteriorated and storm-damaged buildings into a single, new Multi-Mission Building elevated above the coastal-zone flood level and designed to meet all applicable current building codes and standards. The facility is designed to provide resilient, 24/7 operational capabilities under hurricane wind and storm surge conditions.
