Since becoming a Chapter member, Joe has provided the group with updates on federal programs specific to NC. He regularly delivers presentations to members on a wide range of topics, from hurricane recovery and federal partnering issues to base relocations and closures. Joe shares with the group his knowledge gained from his years of federal work history, His portfolio includes projects completed for NAVFAC Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, USACE Savannah and Huntsville Districts, and US Air Force.

“Being involved in organizations like ASCE offers me (and our company) the opportunity to discuss, share, and grow our skill sets with other members,” Joe said. “Even though I am usually in presentation mode, I try to listen as much as I share. I typically learn as much from my presentations as I share by engaging the audience both during and after the presentation.”

Joe also shares his expertise with up and coming engineers. He has served as Director of the SAME-USMC Engineering and Construction Camp since 2010 and has personally mentored numerous student chapter members over the years.
