Jessica Molnar Named ESOP Mid-Atlantic Chapter Employee of the Year

Congratulations to Jessica (Jess) Molnar, Intern Architect in Wiley|Wilson’s Alexandria office, who has been named the ESOP Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s 2021 Employee of the Year. This annual award recognizes an employee-owner who exemplifies the ownership spirit. Jessica was commended for her engaged and enthusiastic efforts in supporting and expanding the company’s ownership culture for promoting the firm’s ESOP among employee-owners.

An ESOP, or Employee Stock Ownership Plan, is an employee benefit plan that gives employees an ownership interest in their company. More than 10 million employees work for more than 11,000 ESOP companies in the US. Wiley|Wilson is 100-percent employee-owned.

Jess joined the company’s ESOP Ownership Committee in early 2020 and was elected Vice Chair of the Committee at the end of that year. In her time with the group she has suggested several ideas for activities to promote the company’s ESOP. She embraced the challenge of an all-virtual environment, designing an ESOP Scavenger Hunt that tasked participants with finding clues about the company “hidden” in stories on the Intranet. She played an integral role in planning the company’s annual ownership event, Ownerfest, which by necessity was held entirely via videos and Webex meetings. Jessica wrote, produced, and filmed two skits for the event and served as emcee to welcome everyone and explain how the two days would proceed.

“Jess bring an infectious energy to all that she does, and I could not think of a better Employee of the Year,” said Andrew GM Blysak, Senior Vice President and Alexandria Office Manager. “Now on to nationals!”

The award was announced at the Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s 2021 Virtual Spring Conference in March. With this win, Jess is eligible for the ESOP Association’s National Employee of the Year award.
