Steam Generator Team (SGT) Engineering Design Support - Various Locations
Wiley|Wilson assisted the Steam Generator Team (SGT), which is a joint venture between AREVA, NP, and URS, by providing engineering design support for projects throughout the US.
We provided full service civil/site designs for the construction of Old Steam Generator Storage Facilities (OSGSF) at Diablo Canyon in California, Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania, and Waterford 3 in Louisiana. These designs included stormwater management, site utilities, grading, access roads and parking, specifications, and permitting assistance. We also provided peer review of the Once Through Steam Generator (OTSG) building and foundations design.
We provided designs for foundations and structural supports for the lifting cranes and rigs used to remove the existing and install the new steam generators at the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant in Florida. The main crane foundations needed to bride the main cooling lines so they could remain in operation during the steam generator replacement outage.
