Repairs to Basin 10 and 16, Anacostia Naval Annex - Washington, DC

Wiley|Wilson provided full A-E design services for a design-build project consisting of a 147,000 GPM stormwater pumping station, discharge piping, and outfall structure that discharges directly into the Anacostia River. The pump station is a 1,600 SF, single-story building of brick and block construction with below grade cast-in-place influent chamber and wetwell. Pump discharge piping from three vertical axial flow line shaft type propeller pumps runs to a concrete outfall structure on the east bank of the Anacostia River. The facility was designed to be as small as possible and still be able to accommodate the pumps and controls. The existing pump station and electrical equipment were demolished after completion of the new pump station.
