With our design-build partner VIRTEXCO, Wiley|Wilson performed full architectural and engineering design services for the construction of a $15 million, 40-acre mock town expansion of the existing Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) facility. The new facility includes Middle Class and Upper Class areas, an Open-Air Market, Train Station area, a multi-story Range Control Tower, and a pre-engineered warehouse. Construction of approximately 77 buildings and training structures is a combination of concrete, masonry, and steel frame with a mixture of standing seam metal roofs, roofless structures, or concrete roof decks.

All training areas have electrical connections for special training effects to be controlled from the Range Control Tower. Included are service and access roads leading to and through all training areas. Electrical utilities include electrical distribution, range utilities, fiber optic and Range Control Tower power connections, as well as exterior and interior lighting, and communications.
