James Madison University Utility Projects - Harrisonburg, Virginia
Wiley|Wilson currently holds a five-year term contract with James Madison University. Projects completed under this contract include:
- Steam Line Replacements
Replaced existing steam and condensate lines in a tunnel and a manhole
- Steam Manhole Repair
Structural repairs to concrete manhole walk and steam and condensate lines passing through the manhole
- North Campus Steam Distribution Assessment
Assessment of the North Campus steam plant and distribution system, work includes providing flow diagrams of the steam and condensate system from the plant to the PRV station in the building mechanical rooms
- HVAC Analysis and Design, Varner Hall
Performed an evaluation of the mechanical system and two proposed replacement systems, designed the approved system and produced bid documents
- Chilled Water Line Loop
Designed chilled water loop based on a study we conducted in 2007
- HVAC Improvements, Godwin Hall
Phase 1 included replacing AHUs, exhaust and return fans and control panels
In Phase 2, we replaced an existing rooftop chiller, chilled water pumps, piping, and air handlers
- Waterline Replacement
Replaced approximately 1200 feet of 8-inch fiberglass waterline with 10-inch ductile iron line
- Chilled Waterline Replacement
Replaced approximately 600 feet of 20-inch underground chilled water supply and return lines
- Air Handling Unit Replacement, Carrier Library
Designed replacement for AHU-3 and dual duct VAV system, the new system is a single duct HW reheat VAV
