Wiley|Wilson, as the design engineer, is completing construction of a
“greenfield” 3.0 MGD nutrient removal treatment facility for the Town of
Orange adjacent to the Town’s existing 1.5 MGD trickling filter
wastewater treatment plant. The new facility includes a 4-stage
Bardenpho activated sludge treatment system coupled with insitu chemical
phosphorous treatment and followed by secondary clarification and
tertiary filtration with cloth-disc filters. The facility will meet
effluent nutrient limits of 4 mg/l total nitrogen and 0.3 mg/l total
phosphorus.
