Biomass CHP - Various Locations

Wiley|Wilson began designing Biomass CHP systems in 1968 at local furniture manufacturing facilities. We are currently engaged in biomass projects in several states.

Project Examples Follow:

1600 HP Steam Plant - Industrial Process

As Engineer-of-Record, designs were completed for the structural foundations, boiler building, site layout, stormwater, site grading, and fire protection/alarm systems for this design-build project. The facility included a 10,000 SF pre-engineered building, one-acre woodyard and foundations for walking floor infeed system, boilers, and ESP.

1MW Biomass Combined Heat and Power Industrial On-Site Plant(s)

The design was completed for small-scale industrial biomass on-site power systems producing power and process steam at several furniture manufacturing facilities. The systems were fired using lumber scraps from the manufacturing process. Building/process heat and electrical power were connected to the facility distribution systems.

15MW-200,000PPH Waste Coal/Biomass Combined Heat and Power Plant

The feasibility study phase is being completed for a 15MW-200,000PPH CHP facility at a major university campus. The potential fuel source(s) are waste coal and/or forest residual/sawmill waste biomass.

1.8MW-50,000PPH Biomass Combined Heat and Power Plant

The concept study phase is being completed for a 1.8MW-50,000PPH CHP facility at an industrial site. We are developing site layout options and steam/power routing. The potential fuel source is forest residuals.
