Wiley|Wilson is excited to announce that the company has again been recognized as an industry leader and named to Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s annual MEP Giants List.
“For more than a century our firm has worked tirelessly, helping our clients resolve their most complex challenges and remaining on the forefront of developing technologies and emerging trends in the engineering industry,” said Steve Bowman, PE, Vice President and Energy & MEP Group Leader. “Being included on the Giants list affirms our success and is tangible proof of our dedication and commitment to both our customers and to our profession.”
Wiley|Wilson has a history of pushing the envelope when designing energy-efficient building MEP systems and resilient and reliable energy infrastructure. These approaches are often commended for their imagination and ingenuity: In 2015 the company was named an ACEC/Virginia Engineering Excellence Grand Award winner for its design of a microgrid and a combined heat and power plant at the US Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, MD.
According to Consulting-Specifying Engineer, firms on the Giants List are ranked based on MEP design revenue. Twenty-six percent of companies reported that in 2016 the economy continued to be their biggest challenge; however, that number has dropped considerably the past two years, down from 63% in 2014 and 35% in 2015. Other questions on this year’s survey revealed greater information about the makeup of the reporting companies. Employee-owned firms, like Wiley|Wilson, make up 24% of the ranked companies.
